grace, I can't tell you how much better I feel now that good old Nellie has a hall bathroom to use. With John Boy happy with money in the bank and Nellie with her own hall bath, how could life be any better for you? Didn't you once say your combined annual salary between John Boy and you is $35k? lol!

I know it was (and is) OT, but just wanted to say that I admire the way you are handling all that. When we added a new kitchen on the back of our house a long time ago, I did all the plumbing, wiring, and painting (and put down the basket-weave brick pattern vinyl floor) myself. Everything passed city inspection.

I don't think I could do the same thing now for 12K. I think I spent about 5K then.

Nice the way you handled the downstairs powder room. I am sure you looked at these subcompact shower stalls you can get now--very attractive. And a frail or disabled person can sit on a shower stool and use a hand-held shower and bathe quite completely and safely. Or with help, if necessary.
