Sadly it's the breeders searching for desired traits that bring all of this to us. They've ruined the Irish setter breed to have this tall narrow headed show dog. Now the breed is basically retarded and so high strung that most have seizures. Just another example and sadly there are many more out there.

The breed just has to be renewed. Require a license to breed and sell them with high licensing fees for a decade and the breed will recover. Every vet I've talked to agrees the breed needs to be reined in. There's been too much inbreeding of lines selecting for aggressiveness and they've become dumb and vicious animals.
