Yea, George Ou FUDD -- AMD TOLD HIM the numbers he used for Barclona were wrong --

The gentleman strongly hinted that the numbers may change on the official launch next Monday compared to the numbers that I’ve extrapolated for now.

...so he publishes them anyway

Doug, In addition to Petz' remark: They measured 16-thread performance. Maybe scaling would be different if they would have compared 8-thread performance instead? SpecInt will improve with frequency, although Intel isn't sitting still either ofcourse. SpecFP looks quite alright already. The main point is AMD can finally compete in more or less the same league again (although not quite, yet).

With all the Fud your trying to spread Im pretty sure your the one "in a panic". Ou basically saying these benchmarks are old leaked ones and the real ones will come out monday. Dont laugh to hard Doug you know what they say.
