re: I think "gets" is the key here. He will not "win" the nomination. He can get it if Hillary somehow self destructs. If she does, he is the only option left. I am not counting Edwards, since he is too repulsive - probably even for the Dem primary voters. And Richardson is too much of a long shot at this point.

Who knows? Nobody thought Kerry would get the nomination on '04 until after Iowa. And Obama is leading Iowa. I don't know the current polls in New Hampshire.

As for Guly (his new nickname, you heard it here first) there is probably a skeleton in a closet somewhere that might show up. It will be Mitt by a nose.

BTW, this will be the first election where voters will talk about the candidates on first name basis. Most people don't know how to spell Giuliani, and Hillary isn't sure if she wants to be Clinton...

Hillary has a better shot at getting the Dem. nomination than Rudy the GOP's. And I don't think Clinton is a shue in by any means. The religious right has made it very clear that Rudy is not acceptable and I think party leaders will listen to them.
