Ran across a link to this while cleaning off my HD getting ready for a new iMac. It was a little off the mark, but interestingly prophetic. Message 9389424 Remember what it was like before there were Apple Retail Stores managed by Apple? When we were at the mercy of Sears, Best Buy, CompUSA and Circuit City? What a difference a decade makes! Interesting history. Another success arises from the ashes of failure. I'm a believer that some of Apple's biggest failures were necessary and helpful to reach where they are now. In this particular example, I'd point back to the failure of Newton. Quite a few lessons were learned from that venture, and there is still an argument to be made that Newton has helped lead to financial success.
