You made me think back over all the wonderful years I had with my own Dad. He was also a Mason. Growing up, I always thought my dad knew everyone, because every where we ever went, the people there knew him and were always happy to see him.

He was the last surviving member of the original Colorado State Patrol. At his death the newspapers called me for comments. One reporter asked if he was a dictatorial type of father because of his Deputy Chief role. I realized right then what a wonderful father he really was. I told him my Dad had always been a giant in my life. I still think of him that way.

He, and my mother, taught my brother and me to do right, be respectful and honor the Lord God.

Wise words Karen. Your dad sounds like he was a good example for you.
