I didn't get my idea from Rush...but I did listen to engineers and people who actually know what they're talking about...How can anyone believe Gore, when he is trading energy perks, or something equally silly...he also flies around in his own private energy wasting jet rather than take public transportation...PLUS....before his movie is shown now, they have to show disclaimers, for instance, polar bears are in no danger what so ever.

"that Nuclear is the ONLY viable option that can provide for our energy needs at a level to make an impact."

Darn we forgot to send China a memo on that before the displaced two million people to build the two gorges dam. (Or whatever it is called) I guess the people in California that are bringing a massive new geothermal complex on line must be embarrassed now that you have revealed that. </sarcasm>

Reliance on one system makes a country dependent. What would happen in Brazil if farmers went on strike, refusing to deliver their sugar cane?

In places like Yellowstone we need to exploit geothermal. In places like Northern California and Martha's Vineyard (Washington DC?) we need to exploit wind. In places like Wisconsin we need to exploit biomass. We need to drill off Florida rather than allow the ChiComms to have all of it by drilling off Cuba. Nuclear is part of the puzzle, but every energy solution must be investigated and most invested in.

BTW - The same people who were panicked about the coming ice age thirty years ago are sounding alarm again for global warming. They lost their credibility and alarmism over a thirty year trend when the cycle is multiple millennia seems out of place.
