I don't think that's the point. I look upon it as a punishment.

I can find both types of studies when I google, but won't bother posting any. That issue has been done to death. (did I really write that?)
In fact, I seem to remember you being in the discussion somewhere else on SI and everyone pulling out their respective studies like weapons. Maybe it should be an amendment.

I have the right to carry a concealed study.

I am not interested in the DP as a deterrent. The taking of lives for that reason smacks too much of creating a sacrificial example to "teach" others, a terrible cheapening of human life, if that is the purpose, and one used by some horrific regimes. For me it's an ethical decision about human life. I go back and forth, because it's one issue that really can get emotional.
