It's no accident that Obama has repeated the 100 years line many times already, with much more to come. McCain won't back down from it, so it's the perfect rhetorical code to get a solid wedge going on the issue.

There won't be any ambiguity or confusion in an Obama-McCain race. The choice will be very clear.

An it would be horrible to see someone win who thinks it's fine to be in Iraq for a 100 years

I started my reply and then thought I'd best watch the video first. Funny, McCain said exactly what I was going to say to you. We've been in Germany and Japan for sixty some years. And we'll probably be there another forty. While I'd prefer we not have quite as large and enabling a presence as we do, it makes sense to me to have outposts there and mutual defense treaties. Hopefully, we will at some point in the future have Iraq as an ally who is hospitable to us. I think you're making too much of that statement.

"An it would be horrible to see someone win who thinks it's fine to be in Iraq for a 100 years:"

I think John can make those who ridicule that statement look like fools! The tactic will surely be used. I welcome the debate.
