Grass-fed beef is clearly healthier than grain-fed, but I much prefer the flavor of the grain-fed. Your mileage may vary.

<< vicious circle
This situation changed with the advent of human agriculture. From that time onwards the interaction between the human population and its food supply moved from negative to positive feedback. Every time the human population increased beyond the point at which it could be supported 'naturally', the response was to produce more food and hence sustain a larger population which could, in turn, produce more food.
Depending on how far it is able to proceed, such a process is potentially or actually self-destructive - as stated in the 2nd 'Law of Ecological Bloody-mindedness'. (?Any system in a state of positive feedback will destroy itself unless a limit is placed on the flow of energy through that system.?) This process is also known as a vicious circle.>>

<<Not that long ago, the average American mother would have been more concerned to learn that her son or daughter was becoming a vegetarian than to learn that he or she was taking up smoking. Not that long ago, organic food products could only be found in specialty stores. Blood cholesterol levels of 300 milligrams per deciliter were considered normal, and patients in hospital coronary care units were fed bacon and eggs, and white toast with margarine and jam for breakfast. Not that long ago, people who ate food that was healthy, environmentally friendly, and caused no animals to suffer were considered health nuts, while those who ate food that caused disease, took a staggering toll on the resource base, and depended on immense animal suffering were considered normal. But all this is changing.

Ay, caramba! Have you ever seen Mexican raised cattle? I would eat dog first.

Range raised beef on the north western prairies of the U.S. and Canada is the best beef.

The best looking cows I have ever seen run wild on St. Kitts but they just run loco and the people have been trained to eat at KFC.
