One wonders when the act of doing so rebounds.

It already started when the Republicans lost Congress in 2006 and Bush's approval sank so low he can only wield power with a veto pen.

Dismissing all opponents as extremists has never been a sustainable winning or governing strategy in US politics. But like I said the other day, tens of millions of people have embraced it like a religion and can't let go, no matter where it takes them.

John;

It's one thing to say you disagree with it and to offer sound evidence against it, Bob.

The world is flat! The return of Columbus from the new world is not unlike watching the permafrost melt or glaciers disappear for people today. Or cigarettes are safe and...........

But it's another thing to call them names.

Noting an observable behavior is not name calling. Memphis was jubilant after winning the NCAA. The dog owner was hysterical while his dog was being unsuccessfully treated for rat poisoning. (I saw that on Animal Planet the other day.) Observable behavior. No attack, no insult, just observation.

John - Al Gore living in a huge mansion and warning about GW is all one needs to know about him. Then he does his little game with carbon credits - anyone know the details of that?

I have also heard repeatedly that Al will not debate the issue with knowledgable opponents.

Sorry - but I remember his "wandering in the desert" appearance after the election. Pick the word you like - the guy is simply unusual.
