Dale,

A bit demeaning but whatever floats your boat.

I view it as a chicken or egg first argument. We feel differently about it. Thats all.

This type of campaigning has been going on since the start of the country. When back in college, I remember reading about how nasty some of the campaigns got. It didn't start in the past 20 years. I think if you want something done in Washington, you have to have less extremism there and more moderates. The dems have already realized this and more moderate candidates are there from the dems. The reps will have to do this as well to try to recoup from their losses. All you have to do is look at who they have picked as their nominee. I think McCain was probably the most moderate of the bunch of them.

Neal

Talking about branding & defining, does anyone feel this ugly battle will "brand" the democrats as being petty & incompetent and cost them a few seats in the Senate & Congress ?
