Joe, > For what purpose are you descending to distortion and misquoting?

It's not just Alghieri. I've seen that same distortion repeated throughout mainstream media.

"McSame" is also evidence that the same liberal media who once praised McCain as a champion of moderates is now turning their back on him.

"Maybe 100," McCain replied. "As long as Americans are not being injured or harmed or wounded or killed, it's fine with me and I hope it would be fine with you if we maintain a presence in a very volatile part of the world where al Qaeda is training, recruiting, equipping and motivating people every single day."

For what purpose are you descending to distortion and misquoting? Are you now joining others in painting a distorted caricature of McCain and then "debating" the caricature?

But this quote is a caricature that deserves to be ridiculed, because, by this quote's pipedream condition, there is no way to maintain a presence there without americans being killed or maimed. In fact, arguably, it is our presence there that brings hatred and sympathy to our enemies. By this quote, in its entirety, mcsame should be on board to return our troops home NOW...
