we are really in an inflationary period ' Globally '

Who knows how many of those traditional relations no longer apply.... Price of Gold going up is a sign of inflation, right? I think this is true, but maybe not as true as it was 20 years ago. What about a billion plus people all over the world who have joined the economy in the recent years and now can afford gold - and the prices go up - is this inflationary, or a sign of prosperity?

More people driving and heating their homes and taking hot showers and powering their computers will increase the price of energy due to increased demand. Maybe the same is just as true about gold.
