Lots more on the whole anthem thing with comments from the Obama campaign at the end: snopes.com Hopefully this election won't be another digression into Boy Scout "politics" while the real issues sit around unaddressed.

Nice try, you know the issue and try to discount it with discussion about a silly law. Someone who is running for the President's office should be a bit more sensitive to the customs of the nation and most of the citizens. Obama said he demonstrates patriotism in other ways, why exclude this one?

Has any court said that Congress has the right to regulate minute details of our personal behavior? With all due respect, your view of Congress' right to tell us how to live our lives seems dependent on the subject in question. Law is law, and to disrespect even one is to start down that slippery slope, the one that bothered you when the school system was ignoring the public prayer ban.
