I believe its in irans national interest to avoid conflict with the US despite the rhetoric about israel or what they might do if we attack their nuke facilities. Plenty of signals out there for my belief but i may be wrong. However fear of being wrong shouldnt eliminate the need for robust diplomatic efforts by bush and by his successor.

David, Richard Engel from NBC was on the Today show promoting his new book, War Journal: My Five Years in Iraq.

While he says straight out that America invaded the wrong country and doesn't know how one recovers from that, he also says that things are getting better in Iraq and that our soldiers have made a difference. Unfortunately these days, the American public seems to be all too weary of the war, and he's noticed that people aren't asking him about his experiences in Iraq anymore.
