"Looks to be about 120 miles away."

The development site is on the west side of 1002. Probably closer to being 50-60 miles away from the pipeline. Whatever the actual distance is, the point is that it is fairly close to existing infrastructure.

Note how small the actual development area is with respect to all of ANWR.

This is very bad news......in all the confusion over oil.....most people are not paying attention to what's happening to GM and F. Sadly, what I am hearing more and more is that both may go under. Neither company was prepared for $4 gas. They had staked their businesses on SUVs and trucks. How they could do that is totally and completely beyond me. They had to ignore all the talk of peak oil for years. And now it may be their undoing. Two American icons.....the very foundation beneath the industrial might this nation became famous for.......may collapse of their own weight.

I've said this before many times.......I knew by the way Bush got elected in 2000 that we would pay for such a huge mistake......but I never knew it would get this bad. I am afraid this great nation is going to be brought to its knees before its all said and done. And it makes me very sad.
