It is a gimmick imo, that battery is worth billions and if it can be created it will be reward or no reward.

$300 million is nothing for a battery that would revolutionize the entire automobile industry. In fact, $1 billion is nothing, considering we spend that every other day in Iraq.

Yes, and the patent will be worth billions. So why the need for such a large money prize? Its redundant at a time when we don't have money to burn. I've said it before.......I am very fiscally conservative. <g>
