"Bart, wouldn't be nice to have open outcry back. At least there was transparency then. Electronic markets are way to easy to manipulate...."

There was a comment by the Vet on voy.com to the effect that the elimination of the uptick rule for shorting makes it easy to run the stops of long positions....just keep selling it to hit the stop, no need to wait for an uptick to keep hammering it... much used on gold stocks imo.

Truth on the transparency of open markets, but the scum have always been around.

"Anybody who plays the stock market not as an insider is like a man buying cows in the moonlight."
- Daniel Drew, 19th century speculator

The fix is in now more than at any other time I've studied though.
