Wheat, the staff of death... and cancer. Stop it now for elite health and fitness. Try it for 1-2 wks -- you will be surprised by the results just as I was!

I'm never surprised by results from wheat-free and carb-free diets. We didn't evolve to eat wheat. We've only been eating it for about 6000 years.

Hi,

Been reading this thread for a week or so, interesting stuff...

But when I read this last post I finally said "what the heck am I supposed to eat?"

I thought wheat bread was superior to white bread...etc?

Cereal better than bacon and eggs?

Is there a link to what is considered a healthy diet?

I think fish, chicken, fruit, nuts, cereal, vit C and a good multi-vitamin was good...the wheat thing threw me...

Thanks

Wheat indeed may be poison. However, I always distinguished between whole grain and the other extreme of bleached flour.

To my way of thinking eating any product containing bleached flour is really the equivalent of eating sugar. All the products Dr. Davis mentions contain it. I avoid all of those products like the plague.

The South Beach diet I believe looks at all in terms of the glycemic index.

I think the issue of whole grain ingestion is quite open as is the issue of eating saturated fats.

To me comparing whole grain to bleached flour is the same as comparing brown rice to polished white rice. In other words, a completely different animal

I would be interested in other thoughts and particularly some good scientific links.
