I wouldn't rank them in the same category. It isn't a magic bullet, but if it gives warm fuzzies to some, it isn't the worst thing we could do. The compromise of those 10 senators is something I can get behind. I don't think drilling the OCS will come anywhere close to solving the problem, but if doing that also means we look seriously at alternatives, then so be it.

You say you'll accept drilling offshore, but you're going to continue to argue against it. You actually think its a bad thing. If you think its a bad thing, equivalent to invading Iraq in your book, why don't you be honest and say I don't want it and I'm against it? Why are you pretending to accept it? Your acceptance of drilling is clearly a pose and not genuine. Why not be honest?
