If I had to pick a time when this country became a lost cause...most likely, from what I have read, the Lincoln presidency was the turning point. States' rights was lost then and with it went any hope of real hope for the USA. In fact, why do we even call it the USA anymore? Even the name is farce. It is the Conquered States of America.

So, you are saying that the last 8 years have been great for you, personally. Even thought the country has gone down the decadent tube...and that's fine with you? I guess you missed Obama calling on people to exert personal responsibility and to not look to the government to solve their problems? I'm sure we are pounding sand with each other and we'll never agree... I think you are missing an opportunity to endorse a change of course for the country, McCain offers nothing.
