I've had issue with you before, but your comments on mothering are spot on and should be as valued by those on the right as they are by those on the left. Mothering and family values ARE NOT something specific to one party - but specific to each individual on a case by case basis.

When you do have the choice to have a baby, the responsibility for that choice should probably entail more than just popping the kids out

So does my wife and so did her mother and mine. I'm glad you had the luxury of being a stay-at-home mom, but your attitude about it strikes me as highly judgemental and elitist. Perhaps your mother should have taught you a little humility.
