Sonny:

I stuck my toe into Amat this morning after it had gone up a point and a fraction. This will average down my other options. I plan to buy more as soon as I am sure it is going in the right direction. The semis are down in general perhaps because of that report a couple of days ago indicating demand has dwindled. It will probably stay down for awhile (IMHO) but who knows. It is out of favor. Drugs and banks are probably a better bet at this point. I am also a bit leary that all this could turn around on a dime and head the other way again. If so I hope they pick on some other group.

I am watching carefully CREAF today because it reports this afternoon and my little Cymer which has been going down with the semis. If Cymer misses its numbers Wednesday it will probably head into the teens. Hope not. I have taken my fair share of losses this month, let some one else have the honors.

Sonny, IMHO there is some difference in ownership between intc and msft. Microsoft always want to fight any thing against them while intel die to settle everything now with money. What do you think?

Sonny, Altjough I have great confidence with Intel's ability to post strong future earnings, I would like the company to adopt a little posture of strength and show the investment world that it will not be intimidated or weakened by threats of suits or comments. Perhaps they need a little of Micorosft's guidance in this department.

Hope you are still enjoying the west coast

Best Wishes
Frank
