RMF I don't have the exact figures----they are floating around in the mist of the internet and likely in SI.

Consider that Obama's Global Poverty Initiative will be in the billions of dollars for foreign countries-------is this not another form of earmarks but earmarks for other countries?

When we are faced with a financial crisis is it wise to add billions in earmarks to other nations.

Back to Stevens--------the recent articles I have read about Stevens certainly do not show him in a bad light-------seems to me he was living a rather modest life while attempting to take care of the state he represented.

BO claims he'll use the line-item veto, despite the fact the presidency does not have that tool in it's arsenal. Don't you find his statement disingenuous?

If you don't have the money to support the troops, you don't spend it. Is that what you are saying?
