I am constantly amazed at those who think Bush originated deficit spending. The only real surplus in my lifetime, without the funny games they play today was during Eisenhower's term. Other than that they all had a budget deficit. Of course today's are the largest they have ever been so far, but that will change. If you think the dems will balance the budget, you need to know that history began before Bill Clinton.

Good morning mindmeld, no one is going to change their minds, people almost always vote party lines and that is what we see on the threads. Bad budget? That's Ok...

That thought simply makes no sense to me...but this election is not about what makes sense, it is a partisan battle and every single poster who says they are against the debt is a liar when they cast a vote for greater debt. People are not thinking, but instead simply rooting for their party.
