Powell endorses Obama as 'transformational' .....Yes, going Socialist/Communist is 'transformational,' all right.

I told my husband within the last few days, that we should write some pages for our children and grandkids and theirs-to-be someday....of what our memories are of the 20th and 21st Century as we know it now.....

If Obama becomes President, our Grandchildren will never know the individual freedoms we have now. It promises to be 'commune'.....

It makes me very sad indeed to know the difference we are facing is between Individual Freedom, and Socialism.

Powell, once considered likely to be the nation's first African-American presidential nominee, said his decision was not about race.

"Oh, you traitor you!"

He sees himself as out of it if he doesn't endorse him. Now that he is convinced Obama will win, he jumps on. Doesn't want to spend the rest of his life at his favorite hobby. Fixing up old cars.

This way, he can "do lunch" in DC with the power players, and get appointed to Obama Commissions.

I saw his interview and I've never seen Powell look so confused answering simple questions. In the end of his rambling responses, I came away thinking he was looking for a job and this endorsement was his way of applying.

He responded about the Obama/Ayers connection by saying it was demagoguery. Excuse me General, a man who works with and has a personal relationship with an unrepentant terrorist and wants to be Commander in Chief during a time of war with terrorists, and you think it's demagoguery the American people should know about the relationship?

Good soldiers have died on the battle field fighting terrorists General! And Bill Ayers and his wife would join them in a heartbeat and kill our fighting men and women if they could.

Our troops also need a Commander in Chief they can look up to and respect. And you think Barack Obama fits the bill more than a man who spent his life in the service of his country, sacrificing far more than you did in Vietnam? Yes, General, I read your book, and until today had real respect for your life of accomplishment! John McCain is the soldier. He is ready to be Commander in Chief during a time of war. Not some lawyer from Chicago, who has nothing but contempt for the military, its way of life and the sacrifices they endure. He's never spent one day in uniform and is naively clueless in the extreme about how wars are fought and won. He also voted against funding our troops while they were in harms way, you call that ready to lead! You call that ready to be Commander in Chief!

If it were up to Obama, the Iraq war you supported and defended would have been lost! John McCain was the one who showed the leadership to win. John McCain, with General Petreous leading gave us victory, while the left labeled him Betrayus and sarcastically said he was lying to Congress.

You think it's wrong a few people say Obama is a Muslim, while ignoring how this endorsement aligns you with the Betrayus crowd? Incredible is the only word I can use to describe your twisted logic...

Fine, toss away years of hard work and dedication for this slick talking lawyer Barack Obama. It's your life and your choice. But don't expect to sell many books to people like me, and those of us who admired you up till now. All we see is an opportunist who is willing to sell his soul, because of the color of a persons skin. Because, I also saw the way you played into the race card today, by basically saying if the Bradley effect occurs, it would be terrible for the country. Puleese, in other words, if Obama loses, it must be do to racism. Shame on how shallow you've become being part of the inside the beltway country club in Washington.

No General, judging a person solely based on the color of his skin and not the content of his character, which is shaped by his ideas, is racism.

It's a shame a former General and military veteran such as you thinks otherwise. We need a Commander in Chief and not a slick talking Chicago laywer, who has had no experience leading anyone or anything.

I would think you would put your soldiers first and recognize the importance of that, instead of trying to set up your high paying speaking engagements in academia.
