That is not Bush. That is the government. The two are NOT synonymous.

If he had his way there would be no benefits to the poor.

5 trillion is "unaccounted for" (actually we know where it went but anyway)... this did not wind up in the pockets of the poor.
$50K PER HOUSEHOLD in the USA. More than the median income. Gone. Meanwhile rich got richer and POOR GOT POORER in this decade.

5 trillion gone.... poor poorer and you claim this money went to the poor?

The United States has the highest inequality and poverty rates in the OECD after Mexico and Turkey, and the gap has increased rapidly since 2000, the report said. France, meanwhile, has seen inequalities fall in the past 20 years as poorer workers are better paid.

You sure you wouldn't wanna reevaluate what you just wrote--especially these days? Or, for that matter, historically speaking.

I mean there is a reason why Eisenhower came up with the thought that a military-industrial complex could exist. Recently the media were added into that mix (but its now transgressed in guilt and behaving differently).

Do you seriously believe that defense, pharmaceutical, energy, medial and insurance industries--among others--got no welfare from Republicans over the past 50 years!?!

Or was the problem--as Reagan got elected on with angry white men troubled 'bout race and sex--really women with children on welfare?
