The insane monetary system we have had in this country for years under both democrats and republicans is about to collapase. We have two presidential candidates who think if we just keep doing the same thing, we will solve the problem.

It's not impossible it just means that returns in financial markets are not normally distributed as is well known. So we can't use the standard deviation to work out a probability of something happening using the normal distribution.

Impossible but it is happening. That is what happens when you listen to the educated geniuses of the planned economy. I can't find the link but there was an interesting article I read which pointed out how nobel prize winners were involved in wetting up the mathematical formulas which were supposed to make the system fool proof. By the way the geniuses couldn't forsee it, but many on this thread did. Hmmmm maybe those smart people aren't so smart after all. :)
