New Year's Eve is an interesting choice in your statement. In the past several years there has been a distinct change in the character of the market (i.e. in market leadership, not necessarily in secular direction) with the arrival of the New Year. I'm not saying it must repeat, but it would rhyme with the past.

I am definitely not for 0bama, but unlike many on the right I do not think the market will tank if he wins. An economic recovery would come quicker and be more sustainable under McCain, I think, but the market prices in everyone's opinions, not just mine. The market will tank when he nationalizes our 401(k)s and our bank accounts (the "fairness" thingy), but not before. <g>
