If he is indicted on the charges against him doesn't he go to prison ? That should keep him away from the Senate for awhile. The mentality of the residents of Alaska show when they elect a convicted official. AND think of Palin. It diminishes her being elected in my eyes. No thought to quality..

You Alaskans look set to pluck the trophy of electing a convicted felon away from the Californians (or did some other state nab that one already). IIRC, the Californian was a Rep not a Senator, so I guess you get top honors anyway.
