If GM filed chapter 11, they could reorganize under a leaner structure and emerge much more competitive.

It is incorrect to state that a political party wants to kill the big 3, when that poster drives a foreign car. The problem starts there. I drive domestic cars knowing that I was buying a lesser quality car than I would get by purchasing a foreign vehicle, but I supported our industry. It isn't THAT big of a deal or sacrifice in reality.

I still don't trust the reliability of cars built by American car companies regardless of where they are built. OTOH, I am quite comfortable buying a car built by American workers employed by a foreign car company.

That is the generational hangover from Detroit's stupidity (remember Roger & Me) and arrogance. I understand that the cars are getting better but, insult your customer once.....
