No help at 3PM. That means there isn't anybody big doing any serious shopping today, and the selling pressure wasn't just a daytrade. I'll hedge a teeny bit more, but a smidge of unhedged short exposure might not be so bad for a little while.

For now, it appears the first attempt at cracking the big downtrend line has failed.

I've stared at that 1930s bear so many times. I keep telling myself, my three-year-old could have traded it with nothing more than weekly closing quotes and a ruler:



BTW: Rate-of-climb for the big red line was 50%/year - about 4%/month. The downtrend we just smacked into is almost 3X that steep, so the big 4 should break that line.
