Israel would have to face internal divisions, except that a constant war footing defers such an examination. Sure the civilian casulties is a world-wide black eye, but it keeps the war going and the neocons of Israel think that is the only way to keep the nation united.

You're probably right.....although I have seen photos of Israeli soldiers abusing Palestinians....police and the military of any nation frequently get very abusive with the underclass. And in Gaza, way too many civilians are dying.......its too much and its got to stop.

Tell me what you think should happen and let's try going from there.

That's the problem......I don't know any more. What I do know is that an international peacekeeping force needs to be brought in and Israel required to step back. That means Israel must stop exploiting the occupied territories like taking their water. Israel is incapable of properly dealing with the Palestinians.
