That would imply according KSM and other animals the rights of a criminally accused....rather than as an enemy combatant....I think that is a grave mistake....

KSM cant be convicted. He really was tortured. But BHO wont be releasing him anytime soon, thus possibly violating something that ted believes in.

>> My guess is a US Federal prison for life, or at the bad end of a death sentence.

I'll repeat my question: What was he convicted of? (Answer: Nothing). Unless he gets a trial at Gitmo, he will NOT be convicted of anything.

This just shows how freaking stupid the "Close Gitmo" demand is. Nobody even knows what they'll do with the people who are there.

You can't put them in jail in the US because they haven't been convicted of a crime. You can't try them, because they WOULDN'T be convicted in a plain-old trial.

And how is Federal prison any better than this beautiful Carribean coastal location?

I mean, really, if I've got a choice of being locked up in Leavenworth versus locked up with a great view of the ocean, I have to tell you -- I think gitmo sounds pretty damned good to me.
