Your defense of Geitner is partisan. Geitner and Schumer should be in jail with the rest of the white collar crime crooks, Madoff, Bernie Ebbers, Kozlowski, Skilling.

Harry Reid said it best: "We don't bow what to do". I find it ridiculous that politicians who don't have a clue as to how we got here, and no idea how to get out, is remotely qualified to decide who is the genius to save the world.

The best thing the govt could do is for the FBI to throw the lawbreakers in jail, and the govt that doesn't have a clue as to what to do needs to get the hell out of the way.

You really believe Geitner, "Rezko" Obama, Barney Frank, Schumer, and Christopher "Countrywide" Dodd is going to save the world?

I have some US dollars I'll sell you real cheap....

Taxes are complicated.

You got that right. That's what happens when politicians start trying to solve everybody's problems.

As for Geithner, I don't give him a pass. It seems as though you are arguing that we need somebody in that position who knows the system well enough to set up deals for himself like those you list for NYSE CEOs.

contracts (disclosed to the SEC and shareholders) for their pay to include all the taxes due on their compensation (a "gross up" provision). When an employer pays that compensation, the employee pays no taxes and just deposits the money.

Stuff like that is unconscionable. Equally unconscionable is paying rebates to people who don't even pay taxes. Either you pay taxes or you don't. We don't need people at that level figuring out new ways to do gerrymander the system.

Chuck Schumer is one of my least favorite politicians. I don't cotton to much of what he says.

How would Schummer know he's an idiot. That's like asking a 5 year old who's better at physics Einstein or Hawkings. Weren't you laughing your ass off when Schummer made this statement ?
