Slowdown in Flash...

Correct me if I am wrong. Without digging up all of those press releases. I believe the volumes of CompactFlash shipped go as follows for SNDK:

1Q97: 45,000
2Q97: 120,000
3Q97: 350,000
SanDbag&#153 has about 80% of the market and has gained share this last Q.

We almost have a factor of 10 increase in CompactFlash shipped within the year.

Also remember that the digital camera manufacturers are designing out their embedded linear Flash (read INTC) and going to CompactFlash or Miniature Card(Read INTC again, but not as big as SNDK).

Another note, the report did say that INTC would maintain it's planned $4.5B in fab spending. So it shouldn't hit the semi's, I hope.

<<There is absolutely no slowdown in demand for flash>>

This article states that Intel delayed their fab due to week flash demand.
