Inode, so what's wrong with thinking like RW does, that terrorism is just a "pimple on our ass"? After all, more people die due to drunk drivers than to terrorism here in the homeland, no? I'm asking not to pin you or RW or anyone else to terrorism. I'm asking because I'm not at all convinced that the terrorists fear Bush or are encouraged by Obama or anything like that. It's reasonable to assume that the strong reaction by Bush to 9/11 forced the terrorists to go after "softer" targets like Great Britian and Spain. But it's not reasonable to assume that the terrorists will strike again just because Obama, Pelosi, and Reid are now in charge. They might, or they might fear how pissed off the American public would get once again. Tenchusatsu

THAT is more the intent of terrorism than is the actual taking of American lives. They want to use our freedom against us to deny us our OWN freedom. And frankly, it worked for many people. Exactly. Thus the Patriot Act, the initiation of torture as policy, two wars, one of which was totally F'ing stupid. Terrorism worked perfectly on the Bush Admin, they played their part just like bin Laden expected and wanted. The most successful terrorist act ever, thanks to Bush.
