but no one said ANYTHING about expenditures spent on the war in Iraq. That to a great extent brought us to this point. We are in a deep mess. The money that is being spent imo is just the begining of what is needed to get us out of this mess.

So the answer to the problems created by spending a lot of money (not just on the Gulf War, but also a larger amount on other things) is to spend even more money?

I don't think the Republicans really and truly want Obama to fail because if he does we're probably all broke. They may talk like that, but--.

I, myself, am bothered by any argument which seeks to excuse any excess or pork in the stimulus bill by reference to the egregious fiscal sins committed by the predecessor. You know, two wrongs etc.....

I do admire your clear vision of how hard it is going to be. I agree with that.
