Pros advise investors to sit tight, seek bargains . . .

SAN FRANCISCO (DBC) -- How should mom-and-pop investors protect their nest eggs in the wake of the stock crisis in Hong Kong? Investment professionals said the best strategy is to sit tight and to look for bargains in the market. Thursday's slide in the Dow Jones Industrial Average was "really not a big issue" when you look at how fast U.S. stocks have risen over the past few years.

Jim, buying intc below its 200 d MA has proven to be very profitable thus far this year. Right now its difficult to say how long panic will last, but when it moves I see first resistance at 200 d MA (about 83 1/4, next resistance at lower part of gap (87) then like knife through butter to 93. We've gone from exhuberance to panic quickly here. My bushel is ready.
