So, having seen this mistake, how can you possibly continue to support this jerk? I haven't seen his mistakes. The overwhelming majority of the things he has done, especially the executive orders have been perfect. The stimulus bill is not something you want to do, ever, but it is something he had to do. The future is unknown, but if, as many projected, the US was heading into at least a mini-depression, then to not act would be criminal. Put in terms you understand better... if there was a good but not conclusive evidence that there might be a terrorist attack in the US would you question expensive counter-measures? In both cases you can't wait for 100% proof because that 100% proof is the devastation. That said I think the bill should have been more energy centric (because all energy projects produce at least a partial ROI and many have a net positive ROI) and I think it shouldn't have contained tax cuts... in fact should have repealed the Bush tax cuts. The other thing is if the Republicans were in charge they would be doing virtually the same thing and you would be hailing the masterful stroke of policy genius.
