One more comment on Obama flip-flopping on prosecuting Bush administration officials: to quote Jim Geraighty of NRO, All of Obama's statements come with an expiration date. All of them.

So perhaps he will flip back. Listening to Obama's voice today, I think he was temporizing. But he has plenty of hard left followers who need only the smallest opening to proceed.

"This is a display of weakness. He could not resist pressure from his base."

Perhaps intellectually he knew it was a bad idea - but ultimately he followed his core leftist values. Perhaps he could not resist his base - more likely he could not resist his whole life experience. He is a person of the left, for the left and at home with the left.

He has yet to have a Sister Souljah moment.

Heard Robert Gibbs excerpt on Hewitt's show trying to explain the flipflop. He sounded confused ... more so than usual. There is probably bitter fighting going on w/i the adm. over this and over much else.
