I was surprised the other night when Joey Reynolds a talk show host who comes on about 4 am. and whom I have liked as he
has interesting guests voiced his opinions about this
torture issue. Now, Joey has never been political and this is one of the reasons I like him.( Especially in Florida where
some of the more insane individuals rant the most horrid
rants like impeach Obama.... torture is not really torture when I is used against terrorists. Remember 9/11 and
string them all up etc.) But the other night he really got
on a screaming rant. His analogies were along the following lines. If someone killed your mother and father you wouldn't torture them if you could. Well I lost friends in the World Trade Center and as far as I am concerned you couldn't torture these guys enough. They really deserve to be killed.

And so on and so on. I could understand his emotion but
I could not grasp his putting any logic beyond what he was saying. I think the logic you explained in this post of yours.

Too bad that more people cannot think for themselves and have to go along with the likes of Whalberg,Savage,Beck, Hannity,
and even some women now besides Laura Ingrahm. No one on the right understands why Cheney,Bush,Rumsfeld and others
are under attack. So posting to anyone who cannot GRASP
what the morale authority is on what we did is a waste of your time and rational thinking. I did however get a lot out of what you said. My disappointment with the American public
never ceases. Maybe it's me. But I don't care as I think
that some of the best minds on this thread express the
best reasons why it was wrong.

Ed, it looks like despite the media outcry, this issue is backfiring on Team Obama as I predicted. I suppose my minds lack of ability to understand nuance (as you state), is shared by quite a few Americans.
