The NG chart is very interesting. A case can be made that it has completed a major down wave and a big wave up is about to begin that would eventually carry it back to the all time highs around 16. All this EW analysis doesn't jibe with the expected high inventory report that is expected. But then again, neither does the steady price increase of NG in the last couple of weeks.

Summary
Working gas in storage was 1,918 Bcf as of Friday, May 1, 2009, according to EIA estimates. This represents a net increase of 95 Bcf from the previous week. Stocks were 491 Bcf higher than last year at this time and 362 Bcf above the 5-year average of 1,556 Bcf. In the East Region, stocks were 37 Bcf above the 5-year average following net injections of 58 Bcf. Stocks in the Producing Region were 234 Bcf above the 5-year average of 597 Bcf after a net injection of 26 Bcf. Stocks in the West Region were 91 Bcf above the 5-year average after a net addition of 11 Bcf. At 1,918 Bcf, total working gas is within the 5-year historical range.

The U.S. Energy Information Administration is expected to report Thursday the
first triple-digit storage injection of the season. Analysts and traders
surveyed by Dow Jones are expecting storage levels to grow by 100 billion cubic

The Energy Department will probably say that gas in storage increased 99 billion cubic feet in the week ended May 8, according to the median of 16 analyst estimates compiled by Bloomberg. Estimated gains ranged from a low of 94 billion to a high of 104 billion cubic feet.

Injection estimates for this week's EIA report ranged from
88 bcf to 105 bcf, with most traders and analysts expecting
stocks to rise by about 99 bcf when weekly data is released
Thursday at about 10:30 a.m. EDT, a Reuters survey showed.

Stocks rose an adjusted 89 bcf for the same week last year,
while the five-year average build for that week is 83 bcf.
