The NG chart is very interesting. A case can be made that it has completed a major down wave and a big wave up is about to begin that would eventually carry it back to the all time highs around 16. All this EW analysis doesn't jibe with the expected high inventory report that is expected. But then again, neither does the steady price increase of NG in the last couple of weeks. This represents a net increase of 95 Bcf from the previous week. Stocks were 491 Bcf higher than last year at this time and 362 Bcf above the 5-year average of 1,556 Bcf. In the East Region, stocks were 37 Bcf above the 5-year average following net injections of 58 Bcf. Stocks in the Producing Region were 234 Bcf above the 5-year average of 597 Bcf after a net injection of 26 Bcf. Stocks in the West Region were 91 Bcf above the 5-year average after a net addition of 11 Bcf. At 1,918 Bcf, total working gas is within the 5-year historical range. eia.doe.gov
