You are required to have one dental "examination" per year by a certified Dentist.

Don't let them "examine" more than that and save yourself and health providers some money. Maybe the costs will come down.

I doubt it, but it's worth the effort.

It's been said, and rightly so, that the most important part of a stethoscope is the one between the earpieces.... :)

About dental techs... what they do is an important skill, no doubt, but it is quite different from practicing medicine - which is, basically, what nurse practitioners are expected to do.

When my mother had bypass surgery in 2008, a PA was on the surgery team. From all appearances she was an integral member of the team, and did rounds following surgery. There were one or two times we saw just the PA and not one of the surgeons.
