I'd say it's made true by voting themselves tax cuts and then not paying for them, as with W. Just borrowing money from China instead.

"I don't believe that was the logic of Tytler's quote" Maybe not. But the fact of the matter is that democracy has been around for centuries. And practiced, to one degree or another, by an increasing numbers of countries. Yet none have collapsed in the way he has predicted. While a fraction of democracies have collapsed into dictatorships, the reasons have been different than he predicted. Ok, granted, reality isn't a winger strength, but at what point do you accept a failed prediction as an actual failure?

I heard no noise from you when Bush was running up the national debt by what 7 Trillion???? "ultimately, people will support those politicians who can promise them the most." Republicans believe people will support them as long as they promise tax cuts, no matter what the situation....that is the total campaign theme...
