Yes, I have been to the thread and gotten some good advice and observations.

The heart problem can be a gradual one that sneaks up----many friends who have experienced that-----and much younger than I.

Yes, Obama and friends don't like the whole body scans and the heart scans-----these are the only answer to get a quick diagnosis on heart and other problems.

What I have experienced is first, we will do this test----then procede to the next and to the next----when a whole body scan may have found the problem immediately.

And, don't wait until you are older to do these scans-----make it part of the routine. Have several friends with cancer who could have found the cancers if scans had been done------rather than waiting until they had symptoms that showed.

Perhaps we are missing the big picture--------why not just have an annual scan for everyone or every 2 year body scan as the starting point for eveyone.

Might possibility save money in the long run.

Can you be specific about the kind of scan you got so I can get one before Obamacare?

each person must realize that they are the manager of their medical diagnosis and care.........

This may be fine, but up to a point. To use an analogy, we generally do not need a Lawyer in order to stay out of legal trouble. However, situations do come up when we may need one. I may read up on specific legal subjects, and become quite knowledgeable in those areas. However, this doesn't mean that anyone would be wise to ask me to represent them in court.
