I wonder why there is any value in supporting party candidates. So many bad politicians are in Washington because of party support instead of qualifications.

Both parties are failing us. Just look at our "leaders". We are doing a terrible job in voting and support and posts here reflect our problems

Huh? Obama is doing that all by himself. Republicans are trying to save the country as we know it. Who wants dictatorial socialism?

Yes, we all saw the real estate bubble. Seems to me it started with laws passed under Carter. Bush tried to stop it but a Democratic congress did nothing.

Surely you are not going to try to argue that things are getting any better under Obama & current congress. Whatever the problems were in 05, they are being worsened at an exponential rate by the present folly.

Partisan rancor and foolish wasteful government programs have no place when you are in a life boat.

I suspect the next President will be a person with some managerial experience and not just a dreamer.
