IMO the *single best possible* tax change that the US could enact would be to COMPLETELY REVAMP our ENTIRE CORRUPTED TAX CODE.

They have done that several times and each time the tax code gets longer not shorter.

The single best thing to do is fire the staffer lawyers who write the laws (apparently they get paid for each letter they put in the bill) and make the politicians write the bills.

I think a progressive flat tax would be the way to go also.

But gee what would happen to all those ever-so-useful tax attorney's, tax accountant's and our beloved IRS? ;^)
