AT, were you at your monitor today watching distribution? Distribution should continue thru tomorrow which then closes the funds fiscal year. Next week trading volume should lighten up until the funds figure out the market direction. More precisely, which direction they wish to take the market. The market is nothing more than a reflection of people's beliefs. On specific stocks, did you watch CSCO on Level 2? Can you tell if net distribution or accumulation was occurring and by whom.

Sonki, yes, my sense is that the tech uptrend will resume before spring. For the near-term the market will have a downside bias thru most of November. No single stock or sector can turn the tide. CSCO and AMAT together could possibly provide the pivot point in the tech downtrend with their forward guidance, but INTC and MSFT cannot confirm the uptrend until their new product cycle is in full gear.

I believe that a market bottom will be set in the next few weeks to be followed by a tradeable year-end rally. Thereafter, 4th Q earnings jitters will come. The revenue growth picture presented with the 4thQ results will determine whether the bear or the bull takes control of the market. Alan G said squat the other day, that earnings can grow on an non-inflationary basis. The Street knew that there were no visible signs of inflation and needs corporate forward guidance to confirm or deny.

off topic for Jumper only-
GE- gave me light when I was a young boy- I remember an American engineer who put that plant in my small town back in 1957- I have nothing but indebtedness what GE gave me-

Jumper do you know what is living without electricity- come with me I will show you what has US companies done by building Dams for us- back in 60's we could not produce food for enough for 60 million- we never stopped multiplying- we use to have 50,000 deaths from floods in winters we use to die of lack of water, in summer as Himalayan snow melted excess of water- we got hold of our natural resources thanks to MCD and Bob Mcnamara of World bank again an institution designed and made by Americans-we constructed two largest earthen dams we are now feeding 120 million people- we have electricity and we are not dying of Typhoid's- Malaria-

Have you seen a case of Typhoid- it just drains you and kills you- my child suffered from it and I know it- his life was saved from fourth generation antibiotics researched and produced by Abbot labs.

Don't ever belittle the contributions- just water borne diseases alone which were rampant are now been able to overcome by importing cheap water purifiers - infant mortality has been cut to half.

This was our live out of 1000 Ike's born 180 could not survive then today 1000 Ikes only 70 die - infant mortality rate is cut to half- don't ever talk to me about poverty - I will live in it within two weeks- US and its success is the only hope these 4 billion people of the earth have.
